NETWORKING ACTIVITIES ORGANISED THROUGH A GRANT AWARDING PROCESS

Networking activities organised through a Grant Awarding Process encompass mobility of Researchers and Innovators and presentation at conferences organised by third parties.

Grantees will be selected by CG (on delegation) according to the applicable evaluation criteria.

  • Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM)

    STSM are expected to become the main cooperation instrument within Action participants. They will be primarily intended to promote new, interdisciplinary, intersectoral, intergenerational and geographically distributed collaborations between groups participating in the Action.

  • Virtual Mobility (VM) Grants

    VM grants consists of a collaboration in a virtual setting among researchers or innovators within the COST Action, to exchange knowledge, learn new techniques, etc.

  • Inclusivness Target Countries-Conference Grants (ITC-CG)

    ITC-CG can support young researchers and innovators who wish to attend an international conference on the topic of the Action to present results related or obtained in the frame of the network .

  • Dissemination Conference Grants (DCG)

    Consits in a presentation of the work of the Action in a high level conference by an Action participant.

  • Virtual Networking Support (VNS) grant

    VNS grant aims at supporting new forms of collaboration in virtual and hybrid settings.

Eligibility criteria

Grant applicant(s) can be Action participants with a primary affiliation to a legal entity located in a COST Full or Cooperating Member country, a COST Near Neighbour Country or a European RTD Organisation. In addition, ITC CG must be Young Researchers and Innovators affiliated in an Inclusiveness Target Country (ITC) or Near Neighbour Country.

An affiliation is any form of recognised relationship between the individual and a legal entity, e.g: work contract, enrolment in a research performing study programme (for example, PhD or Post-Doctoral programme); Voluntary service in a NGO; or emeritus professorship.

Log into e-COST and select the type of grant you wish to apply for: https://e-services.cost.eu/activity/grants/add. Prior to submission, you are advised to check the evaluation criteria approved by the Action for each type of grant, the grant awarding userguide, and the Annex 2 to COST Annotated rules.

Grantees’ duties

Action participants having benefitted from COST funding through a grant awarding process are expected to:
Report on the work developed, main achievements, how they will help the Acton to meet its objectives, and future plans and collaborations. Additional deocumentation might be requested for each specific type of grant. The list of grants awarded will be published in the Action website.
– Provide a summary and other suitable informaton to be disseminated trhough the Action website (https://attochem.qui.uam.es/?page_id=1403) and/or social networks.
– Submit the required reports and/or documentation at the latest 30 days after the end of the activity or on the last day of the Grant Period, whichever date comes first.
– As requested by the GH Institution, provide proofs of meeting the grant eligibility conditions and/or additional documents to support the receipt of the grant.
– Provide Open Access to the outputs of COST funded activities.
