ITC Conference Grants

ITC-Conference Grants can support Young Researchers and Innovators (under 40) affiliated in an ITC [*] or Near Neighbour Country [**] willing to present their own work in a high level conference. Maximum grant amount is 2.000 EUR for F2F events or 500 EUR for virtual ones.

Deadline: Applicansts are expected to submit their requests before september 15 and at least 30 days before the conference start date. ITC-CG reports should always be submitted before the last day of the Grant Period (October 31).

Applications will be managed by the Grant Awarding Coordinator with the support of the ITC-CG Manager, Prof. Agnes VIBÓK (vibok@phys.unideb.hu) and evaluated by the Action CG according to the criteria described below.

The applicants shall:

EVALUATION

Applications will be reviewed as they come.

The CG will asses:

  • The trajectory of the researcher
  • The excellence of the work to be presented and relation with the topic of the Action
  • The expected benefit (new collaborations, visibility) for the researcher
  • The expected contribution to increase the visibility of the network

REPORTING

After delivery of the presentation.

The grantee should:

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Georgia, North Macedonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and EU Member States Outermost Regions: French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion Island and Saint-Martin (France), Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain).

[**] The following countries are considered NNC:
Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Kosovo(1), Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine (2), Russia (3), Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine.
(1) This designation is without prejudice to positions on status and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence;
(2) This designation shall not be construed as recognition of a State of Palestine and is without prejudice to the individual positions of the Member States on this issue;
(3) Participants affiliated to Russian institutions can participate to Action activities but cannot be reimbursed. COST activities (STSM, ITC-CG, etc) taking place in Russia are also ineligible.
