2nd Annual Workshop of AttoChem COST Action

The 2nd Annual Workshop of the COST Action AttoChem (https://attochem.qui.uam.es/) will be organised by DESY, Hamburg and it will be held (in a virtual format) from the 13th until the 15th of October, 2021.

The AttoChem network coordinates experimental and theoretical efforts to exploit the large potential of attosecond techniques in chemistry, with the aim of designing new strategies for the control of charge migration in molecules by directly acting on the attosecond time scale. This ability will also be used to selectively break and form chemical bonds, thus opening new avenues for the control of chemical reactions. The results of the Action are expected to have a significant impact in several areas of chemistry, such as photovoltaics, radiation damage, catalysis, photochemistry, or structural determination. AttoChem also acts as a liaison with the relevant stakeholders to bridge the gap to industrial applications. The purpose of the meeting is to revise the current status and future directions in this field, and to promote the exchange of ideas between participants.
